Internet Relay Chat

IRC has always been important in the development of SmoothWall, and we extend that importance to SmoothWall users. You can use IRC to chat to developers and fellow users in real time using an IRC client of your choosing. Just point your client at

irc.smoothwall.org 6667

#chat
This is a channel intended simply for chat, which is the reason we set up our IRC server in the first place :) Please don't come into this channel asking for help with SmoothWall.

#help
This channel is where you can ask questions about, and ask for help with SmoothWall Express. It is usually manned by volunteers, and not everyone can work 24/7 answering questions about SmoothWall, so there may be times when no-one answers, especially late at night (GMT).

Please note that it is not a support channel for any commercial SmoothWall products, e.g. Corporate Server.
